Maroš Krivý, “Platform Urbanism and Knowledge-Power,” in M. Hodson, J. Kasmire, A. McMeeking, J. Stehlin and K. Ward (Eds.), Urban Platforms and the Future City, pp. 164–176 (Routledge, 2020)

This chapter explores the way in which the metaphor of the platform has been picked up in contemporary urbanism, a field of professional expertise that is here understood as spanning the areas of urban policy, design and science. It is argued that the structures of knowledge-power in urbanism have to do with the capacity of urbanists to make platforms appear necessary to good urban governance.
